Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA)
Consumer information for AHCA, which regulates Homemaker and Companion Services Agencies, Home Health Agencies, Nurse Registries, Nursing Homes and other healthcare providers in Florida.

2-1-1 is an easy to remember telephone number that, where available, connects people with important community services and volunteer opportunities. The implementation of 2-1-1 is being spearheaded by the United Way and referral agencies in local communities.

AARP
The Advocacy Organization for people 50 and over has links to information on current news and political issues, cooking, exercise, health tips, computers, technology, and research results.

Administration on Aging
This government agency, part of the US Department of Health and Human Services, oversees Older Americans Act programs.

"Almost Home"

A documentary that follows the daily lives of residents and staff at an upscale retirement community with bright, spacious living quarters. While residents  choose their own daily schedules and pursue they also struggle with the  mundane and often unspoken facts of aging: including disability and dementia, changing relationships and shrinking independence.

Alzheimer’s Association
Dedicated to researching the preventions, cures and treatments of Alzheimer’s disease.

Alzheimer Resource Center
The Alzheimer Resource Center provides educational and support services for    the families caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias.  Other services offered include state-mandated annual professional caregiver training and the enrollment of participants in the State of Florida’s    Brain Bank Research Program.

American Society on Aging
This non-profit organization works to educate seniors, their families and aging professionals on aging issues.
