Tips for the Holidays and New Year!
Here are
some tips to make your holiday season a
healthy one:
1.
Enjoy your favorite holiday dishes - in
moderation.
2.
Use low-fat ingredients to lighten up old
family recipes.
3.
Think of ways to maintain your activity
program during the holidays. For example,
take a family walk after meals. It's a great
way to fit in some physical activity while
spending time together.
4.
Seek new opportunities in 2010. Consider
volunteer work or take a class at a nearby
community college. Try a new exercise class
at a local park, district, health club, or
community center.
5.
Plan to talk with your doctor about your
medicines. Also, remember to ask about
health screenings you may need.
